Local fashionistas shopped till they dropped to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research and more.  Survivor models graced the runway during the Belafigura fashion show that kicked off the annual Key to the Cure event at SAKS 5th Avenue in Chevy Chase.  The event benefits Womens Cancer programs at Suburban Hospital.

Designer Minno Mobin-Ventura, a 6-year kidney cancer survivor herself, donated a piece from her collection to each model.

Breaking out the bling for breast cancer, Charm in Georgetown decided to do their part.  The shop held a champagne and shopping event, complete with Georgetown Cupcake. 10% of all jewelry purchases that day went to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Store owner Jaclyn Mason says customers were honored to donate to the cause.
