Health officials will hold two free vaccination clinics for children ages 2 to 18 on Monday, a school holiday.  FluMist will be offered at the clinics.  FluMist uses a weakened form of the virus to protect against flu and is administered as a nasal inhalant, not by injection.

Research shows that vaccinating children against seasonal flu protects them from getting the flu and reduces the spread of flu to others in the community.

Appointments can be made online at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/flu or by calling 311.
